We design and build uniquely custom furniture and cabinetry for interior designers, architects and residential and commercial customers throughout the U.S. and worldwide. Our design pallet ranges from the art deco era influences, to the rustic/modern fusion style of masters such as George Nakashima, to contemporary with Asian influences.

Limited Edition pieces are a cost effective alternative to custom designs. Occasionally, we build a limited quantity of pieces from our extensive design library. Specially-selected woods from our large inventory lend a uniqueness to each. Clients may be able to select materials and finish treatments in advance.

Sales of these pieces are limited to the material stock and/or finished items on hand and subject to prior sale through sources other than this website.

Working with a unique mix of natural "live" edge slabs of domestic and imported exotic woods, veneers, metal, glass, and sustainably-harvested materials including FSC®-certified woods, bamboo, Lyptus™ and Kirei™. The commissions we produce represent a level of quality, craftsmanship and an eye for design that will be treasured by our clients for generations.

Nakashima-Influenced Designs
Rustic/Modern Fusion

We are inspired by the elegant simplicity of the works of the late master woodworker George Nakashima – how he captured the soul of the tree from which his designs evolved. We strive to capture his style, spirit and craftsmanship in the pieces we produce. Each is one-of-a-kind, and like Nakashima's works, driven by the influence nature has exerted on the woods we choose.

We carry a wide-rangeing inventory of unusual and one-of-a-kind natural "live" edge wood slabs in a variety of domestic and imported exotic hardwoods. From African Bubinga to Zebrawood, American Black Walnut burls to Lace Redwood, from Mexican Parota crotch to Cocobolo logs, and everything in between. Inventory changes frequently as new materials arrive from our suppliers.

Zensho™ Coffee Table

We've blended simple contemporary lines with a hint of Asian styling to create Zensho™. Each piece is made from sustainably-harvested bamboo and finished with a non-toxic stain and hand-rubbed zero-VOC oil process to a silky-smooth satin luster. Our exclusive Ebano hand-tooled texture and aged stain finish technique adds an exotic flair unique to the Zensho collection.

Occasionally a project comes along that requires all our experience and creativity along with a healthy dose of ingenuity to produce something truly incredible. This contemporary bench of macassar ebony and anodized aluminum was designed for the CEO of one of San Diego's high tech companies.
