MVC-025F.jpg - The billet was cut by sliding through the bandsaw using a forklift and pallet to carry the awkward load beyond the table on the bandsaw. The forklift and pallet was positioned on the infeed side until the cut was half way through the length of the billet. With the billet at the half way point and balanced on the bandsaw table, the forklift was repositioned on the outfeed side of the saw. The cut was then continued through the remaining length of the billet. This process was repeated until we had 3 boards cut that were more manageable.
