  tu_table_sketch.jpg - The "Tu Table" 18"H x 48"L x 24"W of pomele Bubinga. The unusual joinery and curves of this coffee table were a late night inspiration over a sketch pad. Two matching tables were made for a couple in Newport Beach, CA. Highly figured pomele Bubinga (Guibourtia tessmannii) was used for the legs, skirts and top and a thin ebony reveal separates the top from the rails. The growth range of the species is Equatorial Africa, specifically the Cameroons, Gabon, and the Ivory Coast. The species is also reported to grow in Zaire.
