"Hands down, the best part of our experience is the furniture."Before we started shopping for a new bedroom set, my wife and I took the time to identify the qualities we thought were important. Experience taught me that buyer's remorse would set in if I was unhappy in any way with our purchase. So, our expectations were set very high. When identifying the qualities we desired, one stood above the rest. We felt the nature of a significant purchase such as this gave us the opportunity to act environmentally responsibly. We sought to buy furniture that was made from a renewable resource, and did not contain finishes or glues that are harmful to us or the environment. We also wanted quality craftsmanship and attention to the “little” details such as not spending countless hours assembling pieces from confusing instructions. After visiting a few “Big Box” furniture retailers, it became obvious our list of expectations limited our options. Their furniture contained none of the qualities we sought. Often, a piece we found aesthetically pleasing was of poor construction or the materials were not environmentally friendly. At the opposite end of the spectrum was the possibility of custom furniture. While custom furniture would yield the desired results, the cost was prohibitive and not within our budget. Frustrated by our limited options and lack of success, we turned to the internet. Our research led us to Tassajara Designs. On their website we found furniture that contained all of the qualities that we desired. We liked the clean and organic lines of their furniture and the fact that it was made from Plyboo, a renewable resource that is made from bamboo, and was finished with non-toxic linseed oil. So we decided to by a bedroom set from Tassajara. Three weeks later the furniture arrived, carefull packed in crates, and fully assembled. Everything exceeded our expectations. The furniture was built with a high level of craftsmanship, and the drawer guides operated “smooth as butter”. The only assembly I had to do was to place the side rails for the bed into the retaining hardware in the headboard and footboard. It took longer for me to move the furniture into the bedroom then it took to put the bed together. Two months have passed and I am even more impressed with the furniture. Every piece is solid and beautifully finished. The entire experience with Tassajara was very professional. Hands down the best part of our experience is the furniture. It has exceeded our very high expectations, and I am planning on adding one of their bookshelves to our collection soon. – Sean and Christine W., Spokane, WA
"It is just gorgeous, and turned out even better than I had hoped."I just wanted to send a note to tell you again how absolutely thrilled I am with the bedroom set. It is just gorgeous, and turned out even better than I had hoped. You were right on with the color suggestion, I think the amber colored bamboo was a very good choice. The whole process was a very positive experience. I felt included throughout the design and construction with your regular updates, and it was just wonderful getting to have so much input on details. The pieces are hands down the highest quality furniture I've ever owned, and at an extremely reasonable price for what I received. I will definitely recommend you to anyone who is looking to have furniture made! – Eliza E., San Diego, CA
