Althought plentiful, Parota is not widely known or used in furniture. It has a beautiful deep brown to light brown and caramel coloring with pronounced grain structure. It has an appearance very similar to Koa. Parota is very difficult to work with and requires extraordinary patience and special tools and experience to achieve superior results. The deep rich red-browns and caramel colors of this piece is further accentuated by the bookmatched top, sides and shelves and the use of Ebony pins for the joinery. The hand-rubbed natural linseed finish is smooth as silk to the touch and brings a depth and clarity to the natural color that has to be seen to be believed.
